The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site -- in partnership with the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and Taconic Resources for Independence -- presents a Disability Film Club screening of WARM SPRINGS (2005) in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and the Poughkeepsie Public Library District present the annual Paul M. Sparrow Lecture, "FOUNDATIONS OF A MOVEMENT: BLACK AMERICANS, CIVIL RIGHTS," a conversation with Basil Smikle, PhD, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 4:00 p.m, focusing on the Roosevelt-era foundations of the Civil Rights Movement. The discussion will take place in the Wallace Center, and will be streamed live to the FDR Library YouTube and Facebook accounts.

Registered attendees can visit the Library's special exhibition, BLACK AMERICANS, CIVIL RIGHTS, AND THE ROOSEVELTS, free of charge before the program, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a free public event, but registration is required.
