Documentary Film Screening:
THE VOW FROM HIROSHIMA

REGISTER for in-person attendance.
The Gillespie Forum and the Pare Lorentz Film Center at Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum will host a screening of the award-winning documentary film, THE VOW FROM HIROSHIMA at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024 in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home. A question-and-answer session with filmmakers Susan Strickler and Mitchie Takeuchi will follow the screening. This is a free public event, but registration is required.

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and the Poughkeepsie Public Library District present the annual Paul M. Sparrow Lecture, "FOUNDATIONS OF A MOVEMENT: BLACK AMERICANS, CIVIL RIGHTS," a conversation with Basil Smikle, PhD, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 4:00 p.m, focusing on the Roosevelt-era foundations of the Civil Rights Movement. The discussion will take place in the Wallace Center, and will be streamed live to the FDR Library YouTube and Facebook accounts.
Registered attendees can visit the Library's special exhibition, BLACK AMERICANS, CIVIL RIGHTS, AND THE ROOSEVELTS, free of charge before the program, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a free public event, but registration is required.
